Welcome to the SchmidtHouse. My name is Rick Schmidt and I live in Perry Hall, which is northeast of Baltimore, Maryland.

In January 2007, with the kids grown and a bit of time to wander around, I bought a digital camera (Nikon D50) and began to experience a hobby I hadn't had time for in many years. Landscape and nature photography give me the opportunity to explore and absorb the beauty and majesty nearby in this wondrous world of ours.
